Shipping, warranty and customs

Cross-border hardware orders may involve import tax, duties or clearance charges.

Jolfa warranty pre-shipment testBasic condition and function checks before dispatch.

Where Jolfa provides the warranty, we may check serial numbers, accessories, visible condition and basic function before dispatch. If testing requires breaking a manufacturer seal, that should be disclosed before purchase or shipment.

Packaging & voluntary returnsKeep the product, serials and accessories in good condition.

For a voluntary store return that is separate from a statutory right, we may require the item to be unused, complete and free from damage, alteration or missing accessories. This does not override mandatory rights for faulty or non-conforming goods.

Import chargesOnly relevant to cross-border physical deliveries.

Destination-country customs, VAT/GST, brokerage or clearance costs may be charged separately unless checkout explicitly says they are included.

International consumer rules

European Union / EEA14-day distance-sale withdrawal right, with legal exceptions.

For many online distance contracts, consumers have 14 days to withdraw without giving a reason. The consumer normally bears the direct return cost if properly informed. A customer can be liable for diminished value caused by handling beyond what is necessary to inspect the goods; there is no automatic flat 20% deduction rule.

United Kingdom14-day cancellation window for many distance purchases.

For many online purchases, the customer can notify cancellation within 14 days of receiving the item and then has another 14 days to return it. A deduction may be allowed where the item has been used or damaged beyond permitted handling; it is not a universal 20% fee.

United StatesFederal rules focus strongly on promised shipping and refunding delays.

The FTC Mail, Internet, or Telephone Order Merchandise Rule requires sellers to ship within the promised time, or within 30 days when no time is stated, and to offer cancellation/refund options when shipment is delayed. Change-of-mind return rights can also depend on state law and the seller’s disclosed policy.

CanadaRefund rules vary; defective goods and provincial law matter.

Canadian federal consumer guidance says businesses are generally not required to accept a change-of-mind return unless the item is defective, although store policies may offer more. Provincial or territorial consumer law may create additional online-contract rights.
